Key Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Support the planning, execution, and oversight of game art projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Track project progress and address any challenges or issues promptly and effectively.
- Develop and manage project schedules, set milestones, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Collaborate with art and design teams to accurately understand and execute client requirements.
- Work alongside other departments to optimize resource utilization and streamline workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Client Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact for Japanese-speaking clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Accurately translate and convey client requirements, feedback, and project updates between Japanese and English.
- Understand Japanese business practices and corporate culture to foster mutual understanding prevent misunderstandings and enable advanced consensus building.
- Interpret non-verbal cues and nuanced, high-context communication to promote high-quality interactions.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Create and maintain project documentation, including schedules, status reports, and client communication records.
- Ensure all deliverables are properly documented and accurately communicated to stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance and Creative Support
- Verify the accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications of all deliverables.
- Utilize your knowledge and sensibility as a Japanese native to contribute to improving the quality of creative work.
- Grasp the intentions of the client's artists and project managers, conveying appropriate instructions to the internal team.
- Promote mutual understanding based on the context of Japanese culture and pop culture.
- Business Development Support
- Support communication in business negotiations, sales, and production areas.
- Assist in establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients while contributing to the creation of new business opportunities.
- Propose effective problem-solving strategies from a marketing perspective.
Job Requirements
- Language Skills: Native-level proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) and high proficiency in English.
- Understanding of Both Japan and Malaysia:
- Deep understanding of Japanese culture, business practices, and corporate culture.
- Understanding of Japan-specific sensibilities arising from traditional culture and daily customs.
- For example, the ability to explain concepts like "Keren-mi," "Wabi-sabi," or "Kabuku" based on personal sensibility.
- Knowledge and understanding of Japanese pop culture, especially anime and games.
- For example, the ability to articulate the sense of discomfort that arises when Japanese anime expressions are imitated overseas.
- Ability to grasp the true intent behind indirect expressions common in Japanese communication and convey it accurately in English.
- Understanding of Japan-specific sensibilities arising from traditional culture and daily customs.
- A certain understanding of Malaysian culture and customs.▪ Ability to understand Malaysian business customs and cultural background to facilitate smooth communication between Japanese companies and our company.▪ Ability to provide appropriate explanations for any discomfort Japanese employees might feel towards Malaysian customs, promoting mutual understanding.

- Experience:

- Understanding of project management tools (e.g., Jira, ShotGrid).
- Basic knowledge of game art production software like Photoshop, Maya, or Blender is advantageous.
