Requirements
- Translate from Japanese to English and vice versa for meetings, technical reports and emails
- Excellent knowledge of the workflows in the art development environment
- Familiar with Art development and is able to at times give clear explanations with additional supplementary information.
- Able to translate art terminology used by artists
- Able to perform as an interpreter in art development environment and ensure smooth progression of meetings
- Consistent quality of work while staying on schedule.
- Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
- Devise plans to guide Junior, Mid, and Senior level translators to increase their translation and interpretation skills.
- Able to lead the translating on the project embarked upon
Responsibilities
- At least 7-10 years' experience in related field.
- Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1 or above.
- English language proficiency equivalent to CEFR C1 or above.
- 3 or more years of experience in translation in any industry.
- 2 or more years of experience in verbal interpretation in any industry.
- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
- Excellent knowledge of content editing tools.
- Familiarity with translation software.
- Good time-management skills.
- Posses leadership qualities.
- Valid certificate of accredited interpreting training is a plus.
- Knowledge in the gaming industry is a plus.
